Oamaru heritage radio

On my holidaytrip in ZL, I was in Oamaru which is about 100 km North of Dunedin. By coincidence I found a radio station (live on air, 88,3 MHz) called Oamaru Heritage Radio. They have a big display of very old radios and gramophones. That was only part of their collection we learned, no space to display it all. Some of the radios were very old most of them were made specially for the ZL-market. That can be understood from the fact that the displays had the original station-calls of ZL on them like ‘1AB’ or ‘2XA’. Very different from the European scales which had Droitwich or Luxembourg.

The radiostation is a private initiative and is funded by donations
